So on tuesday I casually mentioned getting off of probation... well, it didn't work out that way. Turns out the Marquette county courts don't accept out-of-town cheques, even if they're drawn on an in-town bank, oh, and my probation officer had trouble believing the sincerity of my apology letter (yes, that's right folks, if you commit a crime in Marquette county, they make you apologize to whomever was involved).

So I thought I'd share the letter that I wrote, and see if you all thought it was how she thought it was (verbose and sarcastic). *giggle*

Dear Walmart employees:

I know that it was wrong of me to attempt to steal from your corporation, and now I understand the repercussions of said action, both for myself and for your business. I hope that you can forgive me for all the problems I may have caused your employees.

I also apologize for calling your organization a bigoted and evil Christian organization bent on the destruction of the American middle-class worker. That really was uncalled-for and I now understand how stressful hearing such things can be, especially because you are all just employees of said organization, and you cant help where you work.

In any event, I hope that you accept my apology,
Sincerely,
-Shawna O'Neil

Oh, and here's my new letter, minus the verbosity and sarcasm:

Dear Walmart:

I'm sorry.

Apologetically,

Shawna.

You are such a smartass. I love it smile

Additionally, Marquette attacked me yesterday. I got pulled over, got my license taken away - and now I have to pay $65 to get it back - all because I wasn't wearing my seatbelt and I'm from out-of-state? How fucking lame is that? Oh well, I guess that's the price you pay to live in a city that is sewage-free smile

it's a tough battle, but eventually the right people will listen. Unfortunately, nothing is louder than $$$$$$$.
