Tomorrow, my sister is being blessed by the Pope.
Yes, the pope. you know, that guy with a funny hat and a large following...

*nod* And she's not even Catholic.

you ever see that part in family guy when they wake up the pope and he's acting like a little kid and not wanting to get up?
thefuckoffkid:
How did THIS eventuate? And can I get blessed by the Pope too? Do I have to pay someone? Give blow jobs? What?

From the Carpentry textbook I'm reading for work:

"If the tool misfires, hold the tool in place for at least thirty seconds and then try to operate the tool a second time. If the tool does not fire again, hold the tool in the operating position for another thirty seconds and then proceed to remove the load following the manufacturer instructions. If the problem is...

It's a secret. I can let you in on it, but you have to promise to keep it to yourself...

Ah, you took that far more seriously than I thought hehe, butt cool...

The english phrase is a saying we both use when things don't go our way. I had a language professor friend of mine translate it to latin, Fractal and I have designs of running our own country and figured we'd need latin phrases to put on currency and state symbols and such... hehehe...

I also like the whole irony thing, so it's hilarious to me that it's plastered over the site on all my posts. I used to have other things on my other posts, quirky expressions like :::whoosh::: or love and murder... but a couple people actually voiced concern that they thought saying something like love and murder was really really negative or something (ha). And of course the same complainers haven't voiced a word of criticism, despite my "message of hate" I've been using for about a year now...

It seems to me that it is impossible for me to focus completely on one thing at a time.

Speaking of that, I've got a bazillion things to do:

Read chapters 1 and 2 of "Guns, Germs and Steel".
Finish the laundry.
Finish reading Units 18, 20, and 22 for work.
Read some Rousseau for Brit Lit class.
Find a ride to the store.
Go...

So I've been to all my classes, save one (which I skipped because the weather was bad and I didn't feel like walking two miles in the blistery winter conditions), and I can be reasonably sure that this semester is going to be hell for me.

The Third World- 9 papers, two tests, four textbooks.
Brit Lit - 19 papers, one presentation, three tests, four...

That is insane. My semester is looking pretty bad too. I have a huge law project to do. When I mean huge, I mean HUGE! I also have 5 papers to write in argumentation, and like three to write in my ESPR class. The world religion class is already pissing me off. I hate how he lectures. He just pisses me off telling me things that I learned from Robbie differently. Sorry, but I trust Robbie more than I trust this guy. He looks like he just rolled out of bed.

Well now, that does not sound fun at all. blackeyed

First day of classes.

Today I have "The Third World" and "Special Education for the General Classroom Teacher".

Ugh. More later.

hiya back at you!

if my lot is drawn to be allowed to go on the Nijmegen march (it's done on a lottery system of those who registered), it'll be my first major walking event, so i don't really know about the herd thing....

i know during shorter volksmarches i'm basically all by myself no matter who is around...

i would say it's not really either (herding or will) -at least for me... i train alone and after the first three miles or so my body loosens up & switches into "traveling mode". from there on i only leave enough of myself conscious and aware to not run into thing, trip and so that i can note trail markers. the rest of me i just switch to the back of my mind and dream during it until the end. passing the time while the body works. relaxing smile

best of luck with the classes, i hope they are enjoyable & not the tedious sort haha.

I got a new body mod! Swee!

I got my left tragus pierced at Ink Slingers in Detroit, and it didn't hurt and it didn't bleed and it looks really cute (despite the bead being really huge) and I will try to post a pic of it as soon as I can...

And I am totally cool. I bought textbooks today, and my total was...

OMG Shawna's updating! Hard to believe, I know, but I've been without internet lately, and will be after this for about another week or so...

But I thought I'd update.

I'm in Detroit right now. We're leaving for Grand Rapids in like eight hours or something. My next door neighbor from college and her girlfriend are being nice enough to drive me there and then...

I took my final final exam today. But before I saw the test, I had a moment of pure rage.

Every course at my uni ends with course evals by the students. They're usually scan-tron, with an opportunity to write in comments at the end.

The prof handed ours out when class started today, and I innocently began to fill out the questions in my...

Yeah, my new PC turned out really well. It is really fast now. smile

I doubt that I'll be taking any crystal meth anytime soon, but my meds are working out pretty well. I'm going to see my doctor soon to have them bumped up or to switch to new med.

Yeah, insurance companies suck. I'd never want to work for one.

Scantron sheets have a lot of nerve, let me tell you. wink

Happy New Year! biggrin

Okay, so I got sick of the little music game thing, and I'm sure you all got sick of looking at it, so I'm moving on.

Today is my second exam. It's supposed to be my final exam but a snow day on Monday moved my Monday exam to Friday. Bastards.

I really should probably start studying for it. I mean, damn, I don't even...

Kaskata wants me to do this. Really. But no one's gonna get more than five.

(I only did the first 20, because after that, the songs stopped having lyrics...)

RULES:
1. on your current playlist, hit shuffle and pick the first 30 songs on the list (no matter how cheesy or embarrassing).
2. write down one line of the song. try to avoid putting the...

Today was horrible!

My education professor promised I could take an incomplete in the class to complete the papers and observation hours I owe her, but today decided to email me to say that she isn't going to give me an incomplete, and if I don't have my work in my the exam (Tuesday), I'm just going to get the grade I've got now... in...

Well, I blanked out.

Yes, that is correct.

Yesterday at six o'clock pm, I got up from my chair, put down my laptop, and walked into the bathroom. I turned on the shower, took off my clothes, stepped into the stall, and woke up to my alarm clock at seven o'clock this morning.

Go me. Aren't I cool?

And people wonder why I don't do...
