Afternoon all smile
So... Blog number 2 of the new attempted regularity, we'll see how this goes.

Work is going well, I'm out of the water for a while as I'm waiting for my stitches to come out, but it means I can get plenty of things done that always got sidelined. Besides, making and building stuff in the spare time gives you a good feeling of satisfaction afterwards.
Missing the gym... Feeling my fitness dropping a little already... Don't feel I can go the 2 weeks without it...
Anyhooo....
What else...
Bass playing going well... Anyone got any recommendations for someone just better than a beginner?

Right, I spose I promised a shark story a week or so ago so here it is.

In the main tank area we have 6 large sand tiger sharks.

They range in size from approx 3m to 4.5m (thats 9ft - 15ft for the yankees).
I was cleaning a lip of concrete at the top of the tank, roughly half a meter from the surface. In this location there is kind of tunnel between a coral pillar and the wall that's not very wide. One of our sharks (fortunately the small, 3m one) like to cruise through here close to the surface. Normally the sharks leave us well alone as we don't interest them, but this fella was in his tunnel and found me in his way. Most of my attention at the time was on my cleaning so wasn't looking down the gap at that moment. He couldn't pass me, so went to turn out of the way. But when he turned, he rubbed the bottom of his mouth over my head. His teeth are long and pointy, and caught in the fabric of my hood/mask strap. I felt this fairly fierce tugging and pulling on the back of my head, turned my head slightly to see loads of teeth no more than 10cm from my face...
The shark swam off and went on with his day...
I shat myself and got out for a calming coffee, most of which I spilled as I was shaking so much...
There are holes in my hood...
But it could have been worse. Sand tigers have a snap reflex, if you touch their mouths, they snap to find out what it is. Had I not waited until the tugging stopped and turned right away, he would have probably bitten my face off. Definitely a brown wet suit moment hahahaha

Anyhoo folkies that'll have to be enough for the moment.
Hope life is as good with all of you as it is with me smile
Take it easy, happy days and safe diving.
