I've been in more time zones than I've had days off this year. Something has to give...

So now that I've napped, I have a new perspective on my dilemma: what's a guy with no clothes supposed to do in LA for 24 hours. It's chilly and raining, so I can safely rule out streaking or any such nonsense.

That layover is going to be spent sitting around in a hotel room in a bathrobe of questionable origin, because the airline lost my bags...again. Twice in the same trip! This has to be a record. 30 hours of sitting in a plane getting funky and have nothing to change in to. couple that with not having slept more than 45 minutes in the last...

30 hours in Los Angeles. What's a guy to do? Already booked a hotel based on its proximity to a taco stand and an In&Out Burger. got to keep my priorities straight!

I'm from new york and they've gotten like two feet of snow over the last week or so (and more on the way!), but I'm working in New Zealand (and McMurdo Station Antarctica). I come down most every year--but about 3 years ago they had a series of earthquakes that leveled a huge part of the city center and made a mess of the suburbs. Just my luck, the biggest of the quakes happened while I was here. The city is slowly coming back, but a lot of the land can't be rebuilt on (it turned into something like quicksand) so a lot of businesses are moving out toward the airport where I work.
