Yesterday was pretty rad, I went to a wine bottle signing for Maynard James Keenan here in my hometown and I had this idea in my head of what a distant kinda guy he'd be. Very off-putting, very "whatever" about the whole thing, but when I went into the nook where they had the signing set up, he and I am assuming his partner were signing and the girl who passed the bottle off to Maynard was a girl I've known for a long time, so I said hi to her, then Maynard said hi to me, so I said hi back and thanked him for signing my bottle, his partner signed it, so I thanked him as well and I said "Thanks guys, have a good day" as I was walking out. I have never gotten star struck over meeting famous people before, and I've met a small handful living in a town with a semi-famous concert hall, but this time I totally turned bright red and got super nervous. I have no idea what came over me. Maybe it was because he was so much nicer than I expected or because he gave off that anxious vibe too, I dunno. It was a pretty surreal moment for me though.

I went to the signing with my sister, my ex fiance and my sister's boyfriend. I thought it would be kinda weird chillin with my ex fiance, but it was nice. It was very, I dunno, relaxing to know that he didn't feel weird hanging out with me. I wanted to ask about his new girlfriend, see how they were doing, but I felt like it would make the moment awkward. I don't really have a problem with his seeing someone now that we've talked and hung out like adults. My sister and her boyfriend made things awkward though, they had been having a little tiff earlier in the day you could tell they weren't done talking it out.

Anyway, I'm pretty stoked that I have something to remember the day with and I'm glad it went the way it did. Next major event will be the annual Tattoos and Blues Festival in Santa Rosa, CA. TIME FOR MORE INK! I'm itching for it now... I know what I want, I know where I want it and I want it now. I'm waiting for that evil burn I know so well.
