Last night I tried to meet up witha few different people, but it seemed no one was going to be out or out for long. I opted to hang out with a girl from work with the intention of having 2-4 quick drinks and just head home to get a good jump on today. We all know that never happens...
Out of the blue, into the bar we popped into walks an old old bartender friend of mine. Being as his shift was starting he quickly dropped my old usual drink when I was a regular at his old employ - Jack Daniels. Moving from beer to liquor does not bode well but it sure makes for fun...And the only food I had that evening since lunch was popcorn. After he laid a few strong ones on us, we wandered down the street towards her house and another bar and figures it would be the place I could look for the wrong people (this was her choice not mine!). Luckily they weren't there so I did nothing stupid.
Meanwhile 3 weeks ago I had met an older woman who seemed intent on sleeping with me. Then she decided not to and tossed my number. 2 weeks ago she came back to the bar I usually am at and decided to kiss me and give me her number. Last weekend I called her but she never returned my calls so I said this is silly and said screw that. Last night I walk into a bar across town from my usual haunts and who happens to be there, but her so she changed her mind again. This probably put a damper on the plans of the girl from work who I think was ready to take me home, but was just sitting there drunk. The older woman was more lively at the moment so I got a kiss and then she said she doesn't want to just be used even though she is moving away in 2 months so I guess she is still wishy washy on the whole thing.
I hopped on the subway and grabbed some Grey's Papaya and then took a cab back to the Bronx.
Couldn't get moving till after 2PM today but have gotten back on track after a headache this morning.
