I DID IT!!! I finally filed my taxes!!!
TAXES!!! The word, alone, makes me shudder! In fact, I am already dreading going through this whole painful process again next year. Yes, I know, there are tax accountants that can handle all this BS for me. I have used them in the past. In fact, I started doing my own taxes again two years ago when I realized that I was better and more thorough than my tax accountant. Pathetic, really. Realistically, I am not convinced it is all worth the sheer pain of the process. I have been sweating it for weeks, plus I started this morning at 7:00 and finished late this afternoon. GRANTED, I did take some breaks, did some work in between, fielded some phone calls, etc... BUT still! I am up, as in I don't have to pay anything...was kind enough to give the Gov't an interest free loan this year. Hmpht! All while I continue to pay interest to the gov't on my student loans. Hmpht!
