Hello to all that frequent my profile!
It's been a long while since I've posted a blog about my life. I've been extremely busy and very happy.
A lot of you know I moved to North West British Columbia back in July for a dream opportunity. The reason is because now I get to work with pregnant mamas and deliver babies to women that wouldn't normally have access to regular healthcare. I am so in love with my job and it took a lot of hard work to get here. I still can't believe how far I've come in just 6 months.. It really feels more like a career than a job and I can't express my gratitude.
So basically the past 6 months I've been working full time, as well as doing course work to specialize in rural perinatal care (since we don't have access to a lot of what central facilities have access to), and working on pre-masters courses. There hasn't been a lot of time for me and shooting so it has been really tough on me emotionally. It's hard to keep perspective and appreciation when under a lot of stress so I got my shit together and gave myself a break.
With @psypher's help, I flew down to Vancouver for a last minute shootfest with a few of YVR's most beautiful, such as @stormyent @octaviamay @ceres @lorettarose @littlecalypso @lunablu and @vaomoon. I had a ridiculously fun time with these girls. At first I felt pretty anxious since I figured no one really knew me beyond my Montreal-Toronto bubble, but everyone was so inviting and kind and I can't wait to return! Psyched about the photos we took - they are all so beautiful!
I'm having the worst time picking out the photos to edit of @lorettarose. She's sooooo fucking beautiful and they're all perfect. I wish SG would accept 90 photo sets. Get ready for a blogful of outtakes!
I'm planning a lot of travel for 2017. I've been accepted as a photographer for a mega shootfest in Paris in June, of which I'll be going to with my bestie @skella. I CAN'T WAIT. I've always wanted to attend a European shootfest. Following that I'll be in Toronto for a Canadian shootfest put together by @aviana. Last but not least, I've had a few sets accepted for FP (Thank you SG!) that will shortly be appearing on an LCD near you, as well as a bunch that have just entered MR!
