My new job as a cable installer is going great. It's not the hardest job in the world, but I got a foot in the door. I'm looking to learn everything I can as fast as I can so I will make some real money. The good thing is that they love to give overtime.

SG Army Stuff, Duh!
lostidentity:
I was never into star wars, but its definitely an open door for me.
How's the new job?
How's the new job?
lostidentity:
I definitely still want to go, but I doubt I would have the courage to go alone cause I don't know the area. Thats a pretty weird/cool coincidence..lol...where is this, right in downtown?
I started my new job today at Comcast Cable as an installer. The starting pay sucks but the benifits rule. I know it's not what I went to school for but it is a little hard finding a job in web design without a degree. My certificate just isn't cutting it. I haven't even been able to update my own website. I got a couple...

Work sucks period! but its what makes the world go round. Unfortunately there are instances where those who have talent, don't get rewarded, and those who don't have talent, get rewarded. I wish I could honestly give you some sound advice, but I'm going through the exact same type of situation....I"m not doing anything related to my degree of international business
and I hate it!
The open event is at a bar called sugar moms. I've only ventured to south street in terms of philly, so I have no clue. I think you know more about downtown that I do. Ever hear of this place? I think the event is only to have a couple of beers and meet people. Take a look at the events section of the site and click on events near you. philly open event
I hope the link works. This is on a saturday at 10pm. Me going to philly alone at night is definitely not happening..lol...I'm way to scared for that..hehehe

Someone recently left me a comment of "you've applied for the sg philly group, but no one has vouched for you. There is an open event on June 11." Would you be interested in going? I have no idea what it is, err........I don't remember what it is. I think some band is playing. Lemme know if you would like to go

I just got back from the hospital. My daughter Isabella has been sick for a week. She wouldn't eat or drink for two days now and dehydrated. We were there for six hours while they gave her fluids through an IV. She's ok now and hopefully will eat and drink tomarrow. It was hard to watch her scream in horror while they put in the...

Finally got out to Sayreville skatepark yesterday. I did really good by my standards. I went faster and higher then ever. The downside, however, is that the slams were twice as hard. I was up to the copeing in the 10ft bowl and got jammed up and fell straight down to the flat, splat. The one that hurt the most was when I was motoring...

I wonder what I would have turned out like if I had learned how to skate....it was just something I never bothered with and I can't figure out why. So is it better skating to music or to no music?
shadyvito:
I personally like no music. I like the sound of the wheels and the pop of the wood. I like the music playing on the deck where we wait to take our turn because it can pump you up.
I'm pissed. I went to my old neighborhood (South Philly) for a kid's birthday party. It was at the Chuckie Cheese's on Delaware and Snyder. The people there were animals. Kids running around unsupervised and ignorant parents. I was helping my daughter toss a basketball and kids would start grabbing balls and tossing them right out from under her. Then when I taking out the...

Its kinda depressing to say this, but it sounds like you're one of the few parents these days who cares more for their children than themselves, which is something I totally admire and hope to do myself one of these days.

Thanks man.
I've been called a slacker because I haven't updated my journal. I got tired of writing and no one reading. Just for my friend Karma I wrote this and I also uploaded a ton more pictures. Among them, pics of last weekends Sesame Street Live. I took my daughter and she loved it. I can't get over how kids think that they are real. I...
