My father just called me to let my know my grandmother passed away this morning. Doesn't it seem that our elders die in the winter, when its cold? She had no terminal illness. Death is so final.
cecelia:
I'm sorry to hear that. frown Winter can be such a harsh time of year. Death is TOO final. frown
erragal:
I am sorry to to hear about your grandmother.

Wow! Lots of snow everywhere. Even had to start up the ol' snow blower. The boys played in the snow. More snow to come. Snow. Snow. Snow.

So, at my in-laws holiday party, instead of giving gifts, we have to perform a talent with the family. No gifts, just bring talent. That is easy for me, I will just drum, but what can my 3...

Saturday nights allright. Allright?

I have decided that I am no longer going to try to formulate plans to make my workplace a more enjoyable environment since my co-workers are incapable of processing logical congnitive thoughts. I think this will lower my stress level to that of a normal man aged 30. Now, if my children would just stop screaming "Broken. Jedi Die." when their...

Is it cold outside or what? At least the wind isn't lowering the windchill to the negative degrees. Anyone else hate winter? Why was I born in Minnesota? Why oh why?

Son number one decided to talk this past week. All of a sudden he has opened up and knows all sort of words. He is even forming sentences. Where did that come from? Children...

I got to see "Good Night and Good Luck" last night. A very cool movie about a very important topic. Check it out if you have some time, or need some brain food.

More snow everywhere? Can anyone say snow shovel.

I get to close the store the next two nights.

Only 17 more days until the Solstice.

If an employee threatens to bring a gun to work, should they be fired? This is the question of the day at Barnes and Chernobyl. I honestly don't understand how someone could get that mad about their job. What is it with white men and their anger attitudes?

So today I was thinking, my wife is kind of crazy. One day she wants to have...

Today was decorate the house with Holiday stuff day. It is so much extra work, but my boys get excited over it, so that makes it fun. I am not a very good decorator. Martha Stewart would fire me for sure.

I have the weekend off! Yeah for me. No customers to help. No employees asking me questions. Just two 3 year olds smashing tree...

Its time to wish everyone on SG a Merry Thanksgiving! I don't eat meat, so I won't be chewing Turkey, but I will be enjoying my favorite non-meat food items. Let's have a moment to be thankful for our favorite things, like kids, movies, oxygen, etc. etc.

Now get on out there and Thank Somebody God Dammitt! tongue

Eat, take a nap, watch football...see friends and...

i've totally been slacking on the reading lately...you know how it gets this time of year...too tired to do anything involving brain activity at the end of the day. i am dangerously close to finishing sex, drugs, and cocoa puffs and spook, the new mary roach book (it's not anywhere as good as stiff, sadly...).

do yourself a favor and check out The Men Who Stare at Goats. i've never torn through a book as quidkly as i did that one. it's quite amusing!

I thought I should write something new since Halloween is over now.

There are new Star Wars toys at Burger King. Go there today!

We took the boys to see Chicken Little last night. It was a very interesting movie. I enjoyed the amazing computer animation/graphics and the cool aliens, but the whole father/son finding each other thing was not as good as it was...

We just got back from Trick O Treating. The boys did well, no crying this year. wink Boy number 1 went as Spider-Man, just like last year. He didn't wear his mask all the time though, so it was more like "battle damaged" Spider-man. Boy number 2 was a dragon/dinosaur thing. He loved the costume so much! There is nothing better than Trick o' treating. skull

I...

Happy Halloween everyone! skull Have fun Tricking and Treating, and don't eat too much candy. puke
cecelia:
Mmmm, candy. Too bad the three bags I bought for the little trick-or-treaters a week ago is almost gone. frown Time to by more. For the kids this time, I swear.

And for the record, Favre may not blame this fan for screwing up the play, but I do. Oh well. We're on a losing streak this year anyway. Whatever. smile
cecelia:
I bought more. And it's gone. blush To the kids, to the kids.... smile
