Well, on vacation officially today. Been 6 months since my last one. Right now taking a break from completely refinishing the back deck.

I love building things. Hell, I could do it all day long. Time flies. Refinishing things? Not my cup of tea. I guess I don't like the tediousness of fixing every little problem, would rather create my own as I build. haha...but, by weeks end, it will be done, and we can enjoy the fruits of my labour for the rest of the summer.

Kinda got some bad news at work on Friday, of course just before leaving for vacation. When I come back, my temp position that I love, is more than likely gone. Not because I have done bad work or anything, in fact the opposite, but I was loaned to the other department for a set time frame, that is now ending, and my old department is insisting I come back . My current boss is trying to work something out to keep me, but I am not holding my breath. Oh well....my old job was more money anyway (but 10 x more stressful).

So, with that...came home friday and celebrated. Had some bbq - steak mmmmm - had a camp fire in the back yard with the kids, and smoked a fine Cuban Cohiba (all the while getting lectures from my 5 year old about smoking.)

Saturday, got up early and decided it was time to get the veggie garden started. Last years was a bit of a ghetto spur of the moment garden - this year I built one. Jack loves to help in the garden - his favourite thing to grow - brocolli.

Ummm I think I used to put hot photos of my wife up, now its just puppies and kids - man, I am getting old and lame.....I need to find something fun to shoot.....
