So, after working for the same company for way, way too long, I have finally been given a shot to do something I enjoy. I am now, at least temporarily, a Data Analyst. Not everyone's dream job I know - but I love this kind of stuff - really I do. 
Not my boss, nor my boss' boss, but my boss' boss' boss (who has more than 3000 employees under her) - out of nowhere, came to my desk last Thursday afternoon, and told me I start a new "temporary assignment" with a different department on Monday. This is a position that they did not post for, which pissed a lot of people off (rightfully so). The plan for the company is to keep me in this new position for about 3 months, then officially post for it.
I gotta tell ya, I ussually hate when companies pull this sort of shit. Put someone in the position "temporarily" then hire after 3 months. Obviously it gives that individual a huge advantage over anyone else when they finally officially post it. In this case, I am not so pissed...hahaha. Call me a hypocryt. But, I have worked my ass off for 8 YEARS, and it is finally nice to be recognized.
Better hours, no weekends, better pay.
Anyway....thats my good news ...

I am probably going to do Guelph Lake, I would like to do the olympic but I may have to work, so if I have to work I will do the sprint on the Saturday. I am also planning on doing the Victoria Day duathlon in Waterloo.
