Back from Toronto. So nice to sleep in my own bed. Hang with the kids. Play with the wife - who is now ignoring me in favour of finishing a cake for my Dad. A metal detecting cake? WTF?? He's just one of those dudes with almost no hobbies, unless eating chips and ice cream, ignoring your wife, or staring at the television for hours on end count as hobbies. So, metal detecting cake it is. At least its original.

Interesting trip to T.O. Got to know some co-workers a little better. For better, and for worse. Religious and political debates in abundance. A friend of mine is very religious - to the point that divorce is not allowed - but a really cool guy at the same time. We hung out a lot. As he stumbled one night, trying to gain words for this hot chick he saw and thought was smokin hot, I had to help him out. Gave him the low-down on SG, and a general overview alt-culture. He was shocked, yet interested. A couple nights later, we met these cool peeps at restaraunt/bar. He couldn't stop staring at this chick who looked at lot like she could be an SG. I thought he was gonna burn a hole in her...hahaha...

Anyway, we are all out having a smoke, and he just kinda blurts out "hey have you ever heard of suicidegirls.com?". Not the coolest way to approach things...lol. Turns out, she is a member. I thought he was gonna faint. Look, by any stretch of the imagination, I am not the coolest guy you will meet....but, this poor dude...I love him...and he is funny shit...but he was just trying so desperatly to fit in. This is a dude who - I kid you not - listens to Miley Cyrus and Josh Grobin, trying to keep pace in conversations about bands like Ministry, and Lamb of God. For a while I think he was thinking these are church band he has never heard of...hahha...

The other dude that I was in toronto with, I simply despise. I strongly disliked him before, I utterly hate him now. I understand that those are strong words to be throwing around...but ....fuck him. I honestly can get along with almost anyone. This dude, however, is...well...lets put it this way - I have known him for 8 years, and I have seen him smile twice. The most serious person I have ever met. If you make a joke, he needs to defend what your making a joke about... he doesn't like me. I am full of jokes. ALL of which get me dirty looks from this dude. Anyway, I know his ex-wife...and I know why he is no longer married...it feeds this anger I have towards him. Think of the worst thing you can do on the internet...well he got caught by his ex looking at the worst stuff you can look at...I will leave it at that...but I despise those people.

Ok - fuck - now I am just down right pissed off...hahaha...

New topic. Ran my first race of the season. Went really well. New personal best in 10k, and finished 2nd in my category. So good start.

Even better - taxes are done!!! Thanks Barbigirl. I thought for sure we were gonna have to pay. Nope!!! And you know what that means??? Vacation this year - somewhere sunny and warm - just her and I.
