So, my sister got a new dog. A random free puppy...she's cute. Why am I telling you this? Because my sister, who is 35, is more like a fucking college kid. No wait, more like a street kid who inherited a few bucks and bought a house. Even though she is married, with 3 kids, she doesn't get it. Never has. Never will. Doesn't get the idea of being resposible for...well - anything. Not her kids, not a job, not cleaning and maintaining a home (ussually when I go over there I have to push garbage off the couch onto the floor so I have place to sit), and certainly not resposible enough for a dog.
Last week she got a Rottweiller/Sheppard mix 6 month old pup, and took it back 2 days later. It bit her youngest daughter who is only 6. Shitty situation, I know. But why did she just take someone random dog???? Without question or research? So, she took it back...the response from the girl she got it from? "Well, yeah sometimes she tries to bite my boyfriend when he hits me." No shit....that is what she said. Begs the question; who tells strangers that your boyfriend hits you? And who is the loser hitting the chick?
Anyway, the SAME DAY as taking the other dog back, they tracked down another free puppy. Way to think this through big sis. I love ya, but jesus....take a moment and think here....
So, now she has a 3 month old mutt. She has NEVER liked dogs. And that is putting it lightly. Better yet, she has no money EVER. Always asking my folks for money. I talked to her the other day, and she was saying that hopefully she can find enough cash to get the dogs first shots. WTF??!!! Seriously? You may not even be able to come up with the $60 bucks for first shots? Why the fuck do you have a dog???
I feel sorry for the pup. I give it either 2 months before they outright abandon it, or a year before something happens to it that they can't afford and it ends up being put down.
The other day I was complaining to Barbi the fact that we have to pay our city dog/cat liscenses. I think its a huge money grab. BUT, at risk of being extemely unpopular here, I almost think that the goverment rather than liscensing an indvidual dog, should liscence the owner. Write a test, prove you can handle ownership of an animal. Give a liscence to own, say, 3 dogs - and do away with dog liscences. When you pay per animal, and liscense that animal, it gives the animal no protection that they are in good care. They don't care WHO has it, as long as they pay.
Wowww....that was like 1000 words of bitching...on a friday night at that.... I promise my next blog will be either funnier, more intelligent, sexxier, or contain photos no one can resist...hahah.....if you made it this far....thanks.....

Oh I hear this..... I HATE when people take on pet ownership without even considering how big and costly a responsibility it is....just annoys the piss out of me. Then they raise a fucked up dog that does fucked up shit and wonder why.... *sigh*
