Well - I did it. Finished a Marathon. Toronto Waterfront. The people in Toronto showed up in full force, and were extrememly supportive. Marathon on Canadian soil record was beat too, which is pretty cool to say I got to race with some of the fastest people on the planet.

Got my ass kicked too. Didn't quite go as I planned, at least the 2nd half.

The first half was great - was flying - running with pace bunny with a big group of people aiming for 3:10. Kept up with them until about 18 k, and my first 21 (half way 1:35 mins) I was on pace to finish at 3:10, which would have qualified me for the Boston Marathon.

Unfortunately, reality set in, as did dehydration and everything that comes along with that. The 2nd half was about 2 hours, giving me a finish time of 3:35 (which is a pretty good time, top 20% roughly). But the 2nd half was absolutely fucking GRUELING. Toughest thing I have ever done physically. There were times I seriously thought I may not finish. But I did. And even know it really didn't go as I planned...I FINISHED THE DAMNED THING.

There were times I didn't think I could do it, but there is a life time I know I did.
