I watched lost in translation this morning.
I should back up. My son 14 is on AAU basketball which is kinda one step up from school ball. We went to Boston 10 14 year olds and stayed in a hotel . 10 boys in a hotel couldnt go to sleep and of course in the AM couldnt wake up.
i watched lost in translation from 8A to 930A
so many great lines. i felt like i was watching my own story.
Elvis Costello Karouke, the pretenders, and i am wondering if anyone else could recognize the Atlanta Rhythm Sections "So into You" during the hotel bar scene when the duo is playing( i think im the only one here old enough to identify that reference). The pain conveyed when she shows up at the door after his night with the singer
(the champagne on the windowsill) the oh fuck look on his face when he realizes the singer is there. I have taught around the country and met someone that we end up spending the weekend together more than once. (without sex like in the movie)
That day you leave , the memories are overwhelming.the emotion sadness,
The movie made me cry at the end.

I think you are right.......I definitely need to come up with a plan, to feel more productive, and like I am contributing something towards a positive outcome. Yeah, my sisters live in Southern California. I miss them so much, especially since my Dad died.

I love this movie, Lost in Translation, isn't it amazing? I got the "so into you" thing. It's such a beautiful, tender and funny movie, I love it.

Anyway, will see you in chat soon. miao!!
