what a crazy, interesting evening . . .
so my friend's are working on this start-up that's similar to iTunes but specifically for DJ's. they have everything built, they just need to money to get it up and running. so this guy who runs a 900 million dollar dot-com is out from the east coast to hear their pitch. well, he's also a dj and wants to check out the house scene in SF, so they give me a call and the next thing you know we're all at the End-Up (which i rarely ever go to) . . . .
well, it turns out that Darren Emerson (formerly of Underworld) is the special guest DJ, and the next thing you know i'm sipping on Herradura tequila (rocks with a couple squeezes of lime) and dancing my ass off with my friend and this guy who's rich enough to have us all killed. he's actually a cool guy, he ran a big camp at Burning Man last year. he wants me to hook him up on some good house records.
sure, whatever.
the music was working it out though. dirty, dirty electro house. think music for robot porn. seriously.
all i can say is thank goodness for late night diners. all my good people are moving back to the city. this year is going to be exceptional.
now i need to sleep. i have to go to kung fu and spar tomorrow afternoon.
