the party went really well on Saturday. i had a really good time spinning. i got to bang out some harder tech house and breaks which is pretty hard to do in this city sometimes. everybody's on the house tip, but sometimes, somebody has just got to say no.

i finally outdid myself on the stirfry tip. i mixed up some Thai marinated tofu with three kinds of mushrooms (white, baby bellas, and enoki) with broccoli, bean sprouts, and jalepeno. i stirfried it in teriyaki sauce with minced garlic and, the kicker, wasabi mustard. it's bad-ass.

so ever since burning man my turntables have been fucked proper, i.e. the tone-arms want to rip horizontally off the record. very bad. i've been spending lots of time trying to find some one who can fix Technic MK-II's. they don't make these turntables anymore because they have a tendency to last forever.

so just the other day a friend of mine takes a look at them and with a handy pocket knife realigned the tone-arms for me. then on saturday, i'm talking with an acquaintance who owns lots of sound equipment and he says i need to take care of those turntables so he offers to give me flight cases for both my turntables and my mixer! this is no small offer!

i love it when things come together.
