today i went into a studio with a local (and prolific) engineer. he helped arrange and mix down a track i had done a few months ago. it went really well. actually, i'm just off work and i just listened to it for the first time since i was in the studio. i find putting some distance between the work and the relisten help to create a good perspective to hear it as it is.

i have to say i'm very pleased with the results. i just talked with my label partner and i think it's going to be released this winter. it will be my first release.

oh yeah, it's my birthday next week.
