i got my new computer today! i finally get to put together my studio. it's very satisfying that after all these years of dreaming of putting together a proper home sound studio it's actually coming to fruition. the rest is all hard play and inspiration.
i think the best things in life are those things that can never have an endpoint. like kung fu, the more i learn, the more i realize that i can study it my whole life and still there would be more for me to learn. music and dj'ing are the same way, there's always another plateau to explore over the next horizon. i would add love and relationships into this category too. it's when you begin thinking that you've achieved "it," that you're an "expert," that you begin to lose your way. the infinite nature of being suggests there should never be a reason to be bored, it's all a matter of where your attention is at.
yeah, i'm being contemplative, but it's my birthday this week so i can do whatever the fuck i want.
