"there's something in your eye.... no, wait. it's just a sparkle." - pick-up line used on me this weekend
i had a great weekend. photographic evidence?
great people.
yesterday i watched the making of/behind the scenes documentary of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. it's on the DVD and it's almost as long as the actual feature. i found it so interesting.
i also went grocery shopping. i made some awesome chicken salad and i got the best cereal ever.
soooo delicious. even though i hate my muffin tops and i go to the gym for two hours a day to get rid of them.
ironically, the muffin tops episode of seinfeld was on the other night. hilarious! i watched part of it last night with wills but then we got into this huge discussion about what constitutes art because i didn't like some of Spencer Tunik's photography. as a member of this site, i obviously love nude photography, but the Spencer Tunik around-the-world pictures bother me. the nude human body is art because of its individuality and i think that these photographs strip all individuality and reduce the picture to shock exploitation. feel free to disagree, wills sure did.

as for art and expression - i think that art should be something that makes you look into your self and it should get in your head and kick things around...
some people want to make money off this feeling.. and that's just sad.
so they put it out to the world as "art" because you can get away with more and you won't be seen as a perv or idiot.. you'll be seen as "ahead of your time".. you know?
