An attempt to keep this short..

My new job at work as 'strategist' is to assist the sellers in selling more.

AKA 'help them because they're dumb.'

I took on this monster project for my officemate. It's a 40k deal and he was on the verge of f'ing it up just due to his lack of experience. But I got assigned to the case, and suddenly I'm in to work at 7am and leaving at 6pm to prep for the presentation.

Presentation is tomorrow/Friday.

This morning he leaves for a meeting and has his monitor on. What I see causes me to hit the roof.

Over the last few months he's worked here, I've noticed that he's got some sort of side biz. I assumed he was still handling things for his old company. I was wrong.

He started up a consulting company. That develops websites. Just what we do. A total conflict of interest.

I did a check on the URL that was on his screen (that he was FTPing files to) and traced it back to him.

Here I am, busting my ass so he looks good and makes commission, and he's f'ing the company in the a.

Hot.

I compose an email to the exec team about it an off it goes.

Sad part is, my boss confronted him and told him to shut it down, and APOLOGIZE TO ME. Great. So now I have to share an office with a weasel who knows I turned him in. Thanks for handling that fellas.

How about 'this is a conflict to the company' NOT 'Jean is sad.'

So when the CEO assures me that everything will be handled delicately, I retort back that it's too late for that, someone (my boss) already used my name.

This starts another landslide of corporate retardedness.
So now I have an assload of work to finish and I've gotten people all bitched up.

How about 'fire the jackass and continue with the day?'
