Today, one of my coworkers called me boy. I don't know what he said. I wasn't paying attention. All I noticed was that he called me boy. Without paying attention, I told him "If my fourteen year old cousin calls me boy, he gets slapped in the face." He said something that made some sense about it being used jokingly among peers, but I told him that I don't care, it's very disrespectful. I think he was very surprised by my response and he said something about it being very tense at work and I shouldn't let it bother me, which is when I realized that I was probably the only person not bothered about the amount of business we weren't having. I was actually in an alright mood.

I've been taking a little break at work and observing coworkers and the way things happen and I realized a lot of dumb things. It's given me a slightly different way of looking at things and changed my attitude about some of my coworkers.

Lots of things are changing at my work. I think it's going to be good changes, but I think there are going to be some changes with who's employeed, I hope to stick around.
