It's 4 a.m. where I am, and I can't sleep. I am excited to the point of electricity by the possibility that we're going to elect Barack Obama today. The friends who are still awake are all telling me the same thing: this feels like Christmas. We have to live a bit longer with this fierce anticipation, the risk of wanting, and yes, of hoping. We have to believe that this will all be over soon, and soon the real work will start.

holy amazing night in NYC... everyone was celebrating like madmen. there were smiles, tears, hugs with strangers, hi-fives on every corner, a restored positivity and love. i just wanted to stay up all night and soak myself in it. it was so much easier waking up today... GO AMERICA...
