I just got the new Chuck Palahniuk novel this evening, Haunted. (It was just released today ... I went straight after work to get my hand on a copy)

Haunted is a collection of short stories tied together with the story line that the short stories are written by characters who are away on a writers retreat. Intresting concept.

I just finished dinner, I fully expect to vomit after the first few chapters....

Has anyone read Guts? It's a short story written by Chuck.... I have read it before and it almost made me pass out.... It the short story opener in Haunted

I have never seen the reason why some people get in the state that they do from that story. Sure it is a twisted tale but it could be worse and he could have made it into a movie short. I could see it having the type of impact some get out of it then. I have enjoyed graphic stories for years now though so it is hard for me to comprehend the feeling.

Have not checked out Haunted and I have been a slacker to read the stuff recently published in Playboy but I will get around to it sometime I suppose.
