I finally adopted out all the kittens that stray momma cat. Then one day I came home from work this weekend, and momma was gone. It was dark out already when I came home, so I got a flashlight and looked all around the backyard, my neighbors yards and the hill behind my house. I think she maybe just let me take her in long enough to raise her babies and then left again 
Dooby, the big fat garfield cat I rescued from Kansas City found a home too! A couple that lives about 30 min from me called about the "fat Garfield looking cat". Yay it's a great and happy week for my adoptee kittehs!
I was supposed to go in tonight and have my back worked on some more. The shoulders are pretty much all healed and it's looking lovely. I do have to say though, it's a pain in the arse to go two weeks without wearing a bra...!
QUICK EDIT! Talk about weird...I had just finished typing this, and I heard a mew from outside. There was momma cat! Missing for 4 days now and drenched and cold...it's been raining here and in the 40's. She was stray and pretty hard to catch when I found her at work, so I'm REALLY surprised that she came back at all. She came running up to the morch mewing and rubbed her head all over my legs. I took her in and put her in the spare room to dry off and get a full tummy

I am going to see if Springfield or St. Louis shelters give out spay/neuter coupons. I just got a lawsuit notice from my greedy old landlord, who's decided he wants (a year and half later!) $9000. Money will be tight. Unless I can get approved for a loan.
