So what was the saddest moment of your life...?
Someone asked me that today and its odd, the saddest moment of my life actually wasnt my problem, it was someone elses, it was just so sad.
Back when I was waiting tables at about 4 in the morning an old man, probably 80 comes in. We start talking and he asks me directions to somewhere, i forget where, and I say so 'so your not from around here?'
Long story short, he just moved down here for better treatment for his wife with cancer about a three motnhs before that. A month afterwards his wifde of 53 years died.
He was so sad, and said to me, 'I knew it wasgoing to happen, but you are never prepared when it does' and started crying while drinking his coffee.
I left work cryting that day thinking about how sad that would be.
That was mine. Immagining losing someone I loved that much.
What about you?
