I just went on a quick walkabout and realized down over a Jameson's at the Six Arms, that tonight could be a decent measuring stick as to how life will feel once I hit a steady pace. My roommate is gone so its like I have the place to myself . I come home and putter a few hours. Call a few friends and chew the fat. Go down to the corner for a quick drink. Alone but not lonely, reasonably confident in a day well spent.
I still constantly try and gauge whether I can live without her, that city on the other end, whom I imbue with enough importance it could very well sink into the ocean from its own perceived weight. Moments like these I think its possible that she'll become like an ex-lover or maybe a fuck buddy you go visit a few times a year.
Been hearing a lot of Scissor Sisters, Fannypack, !!!, Wilco (one of these bands is not like the others) and various old electro tracks like Time Warp by Eddy Grant. Normally I would do something USEFUL here, such as link you to one or all of those thingies, but I have no FTP right now. Maybe a music blog is the next thing to do. Hmmm Ohyeah and looking forward to playing with the box of records I got in the mail from my peoples.
