So heres a real update (and Ill even make it link-tastic): this last week was SO FUCKING GOOD.
The miracle of Simone was here and we really had a great time. I just fucking adore this girl. We both agree we have a lot of love for each other, even though were may not be *in love* with each other. So we shall be great, great friends and take it as that.
What did we do well we saw "Showgirls" with commentary at a local club. I will never forget the look of horror on Simones face as Kyle Machlachlan powers up his neon palm trees over the swimming pool, or as Gina Gershon confesses her love for Doggie Chow.
The next night we saw a live local production of Hedwig. I love this material reminds me of Squeezebox at Don Hill's back home.
Then on Saturday, we went to the Columbia River Gorge for the Sasquatch Music Festival. We stopped at the Double R Diner on the way over and ate cherry pie. Even though the Shins, Built to Spill, Sleater Kinney, The New Pornographers, The Black Keys, and the Postal Service were all ok (actually all these bands bore the pants off me live, but dont tell em I said that), the locale was amazing, we hung out with Freckle, and had a good time just enjoying the day and getting wasted on huge cans of Zima.
What else??? Meals at Red Mill, Noodle Ranch, about 1.5 liters of Stoli (soymilk White Russians dont work), Kids in the Hall, and True Romance.
Pretty good for just five days huh?
Oh, here's today's music. Can't get that goddamned sample out of my head. Makes me want to stomp Japanese cities to dust.

Squeezebox's 10th anniversary was the other day. I didn't go because I'm a cranky old fart. Oy.
