I went to El Torreon last night (for those not from KC, it's our local all-ages venue). What a kick-ass night. My friend Ryan's band Silence Broken was performing their last show together and my friend Sam's band Waste of Hate was having their first show. Both did very well but Silence Broken ... damn ... they put on the best fucking show I've seen them give. I guess it's a great way to go out but it's sad nonetheless. I'm truly gonna miss you guys.
On top of that, I ran into a friend that I haven't seen in probably 10 years. Wow. We used to play in a goof-punk band that is still to this day probably the most fun I've ever had in a band. We practiced about 4 times a week, including Friday. Every Friday's practice ultimately ended up as a huge party that was just so far beyond fun. Too many good times. I missed you, Manny. I gave you my number, you BETTER keep in touch, man!
Now I'm off to record a new song I wrote this morning so I don't forget it.
