woo! my derby team had our first two banked track bouts in austin this weekend at the battle for the banked track 2. LA got to pop our cherry, and then we showed hurricane alley what was what. i'm so revved for our first home bout on the 11th!
austin was just wow, i so wish i could have spent more time there, or that okc was just a little less small-town...
my poor white pit mix has the worst allergies! i've been trying to avoid steroid shots this summer, but he's just scratching himself all to bits, so i think i'll have to give in :/
i just picked up two jaqueline carey books that aren't from the kushiel series and i'm excited to get into them...
i've been dabbling on a free online dating site, mostly just to see if there are any like-minded people out there looking for someone cool to hang out with... so far i've chatted with a few decent guys, but i haven't actually met any of them yet.

I can't wait to read about your roller derby season! I'm also looking forward to seeing how the online dating goes for you; it's something I've considered myself lately. I've had a great number of friends and family do this, and it's worked out pretty well for them all. But beware of course, because it was a terrible, harrowing experience for a few of them!
