Hey everybody!
Sorry its been such a long time since I posted but a lots been happening. The only reason I have time to write this right now is that I got finished packing/cleaning my room for my B-day party this weekend. I know, a month early but Im not going to be here at UNF next weekend, Im going to DC with some of my friends for the Women's March for Life. After that, everyone's going home for the summer.
In other news, Ive been cramming for exams, doing projects, running for offices, filling out paperwork, but mostly walking. Our campus is about a half-mile long and the different offices are scattered through-out. Of course nobody is in the first time(or many times the second or even the third) you see them and not even thier secretary knows when they will or if they will be back. Add to that, the fact that my dorm is literally another 1/2 mile away from the main part of campus and you end up with no time.
Im starting my major, sociology, next semester and I had to get approval to take the courses since I will only have 55 hours at that point(not bad for my second year at college!). I also wanted to create a new major here at UNF, which I did. Their is now a Honors in the Major-Sociology, or at least there will be in a year and a half when the paperwork and stuff gets done. I have also started looking into Grad schools; I havent decided wheither or not I want to pursue my Masters/Doctorate level studies in "Sex and Gender" or in "Sexuality and Homosexuality". If, I do the second, I will probably be spending a lot of time in Britian and Scotland since there are only like 6 schools that offer that area of study and three of them are in Scotland/GB.
Last but not least, I was elected Secretary of the Pride @ UNF chapter. So, I get to spend yet another week of my summer vacation in a leadership retreat(that ='s 3 total). What is really a lot of fun, is now my name will appear on paperwork and the other organizations I am involved with on campus are all Campus Ministries, so...I am expecting drama at least once. Especially since, one of the organizations is getting a new chaplain; and evidently the organization that he/she(ha what am I saying its a converative agency-he is the only answer) comes from is pretty far right, even for this area.
Wow, this was a really long post. When I get absolutly plastered tonight, I will try to post on everyone else. Drunken posting is fun
