Well...My roommates gone now, I hadnt realized how much space he was taking until he got all his stuff out. I can practically strech my arms out to either side of me and cover 'my side' of the room. He had AT LEAST 2 times that much space.
But good news, I finally found a way to the SG show. I was at the concert tonight(it was great the place was packed, for once!!!) and I ran into my friend Cheryl. She just out of the blue mentions the show and asks if I would like to go and I was like WOULD I!!!!!!. Shes not a member(yet, hmm...seems I have a gift idea for the next holiday!).
Before that I mentioned it at the pride meeting to see if there were any like-minded peoples and my friend Jessica(THE activist)stabbed me in the back before I could finish explaining who and what SG was. She's a hardline feminist and I guess SG falls just short of the line she draws and boy she had no problem telling everyone of WHY.
In other news, at the meeting they asked if any people would be interest in submitting thier names as GLBA friendly for rooming w/housing next year. And im kind of iffy. I mean once this year I woke up when my roommate was *whispers* doing it. And, its fun when you are doing it but having to listen to it...wondering if you know the girl, trying to perserve their privacy when you wake up for an 8:00 AM class. It would be even wierder I think when and if, chances are I know both the people....
MY friend Anne-Marie wasnt at the meeting either, I wonder if she's okay. I guess I will stop by her work tommorrow and say hi.
