Well, 2004 has been possibly the worst year ever.
I'm finishing it with today's car accident.
On my way to work this morning, I hit another car with my Jeep. I then spent a few hours at the doctors and now I'm home.
I'm taking tomorrow off to rest. My back and neck are a little sore. I'm just thankful that nobody was seriously hurt....

Well, the puppy situation seems to be getting better. He is sleeping at night and only wakes me up to go out. I am crate training him so he stays in his little kennel at night. During the day, he stays there too but he really goes crazy when I am not there. He just has to get used to things.

I am not sure if you got that...but I actually DID leave Pittsburgh...I REALLY am in South Korea actually kinda doing what you do but it reverse? Yeah, ESL.
I needed a break shit was just too much and I lost myself in all the turmoil of my life at the time and left.
Now I am facing uncertainty again and I am not really ready for it. I am ready to settle, not in relationship or anything like that...just want to be stable for a minute instead of floundering...at least for longer than a few months.
Does this make sense?

I just checked out your journal and it seems all this advice (in the Kitties Group) was for naught. I read that you got a puppy and a hyper one at that. Maybe you should've gotten an older dog instead? Sounds like you can barely take the craziness. I'm sure your cat is going completely batshit, or did you find her another home? 2003 = WORST.YEAR.EVER. for me.
Even though walking away is not usually the best way to handle things as the problems will still be there when you get back and generally does not solve anything, it helped me.
It gave me a new perspective and put my head back on straight after spinning out of control from all the utter shit that kept happening.
So yeah, there are still problems, but I am able to face them so much better NOW than I could have without stepping away.
I was kinda drowning in problems, borderlining depression.
I know skipping town...or country for that matter, is not a reasonable solution for everyone, but maybe just getting away for a minute....hell, stay in a hotel or something... change your environment, just don't make yourself so available to your life.
Do something new...for you.
Be selfish, as long as it does not negatively affect anyone else.
Sorry... I will step off my soapbox now.
On another spin, things really can't get worse this year..can they?
