No official proclamations tonight. Just want to say that today was my fathers birthday, and we did some celebrating at a Claim Jumper restaurant up in Carmel Mountain with he, my stepmother Carol, and my brother. It was nice. I spent a little time in the restroom with my flask of Kraken spiced rum, and then a bit more time at our booth with some well scotch.
Ive come to the realization that I will happily drink even cat piss if its at least 40% alcohol. You know what they say about cat piss or even the little almond rocas they leave behind in the catbox once you get past the taste, theres nothing to it. Its liberating, even, to eat things that arent traditionally considered food, at least by most cultures. Pica, I think they call it.
Well it rained all day in sunny San Diego. I dont pay an obscene amount to live here for this Seattle bullshit, so what the fuck? But theres also a huge arctic wind blowing through the east and Midwest, and they say its the melting of the polar ice caps due to global warming. I think science supports this, at least to a certain extent.
Will we be able to save ourselves when it matters most? Im excited to find out. Are we, in fact, doomed. I mean, were all doomed individually; death comes for us all. But can we, as a society, survive?
Theres this gleam in my eye when I think about the odds.
