Damn I was hoping to get at least some reaction to the focus on my mortality last night, but I guess thats not going to happen. (Tough crowd, tough crowd.)
Anyway, had a pretty productive day with work today, plus I was able to hunt around for a new physician. The one I currently have doesnt really have the best marks on the Internets, and plus she doesnt have a cardio background. The cardio aspect is not mandatory, but I would like to get someone well-versed in that area.
I also just got done speaking to a dude named Cliff -- my very best friend from college. He lives in Portland now, but he was born and raised in L.A. and lived there for most of his life (so far). We both went to school in L.A., so thats how I met him, and we played music together there in the school jazz ensemble. Then we worked on kind of a solo project much later at the place he had then in L.A. It was myself on drums, he on bass & his brother on guitar.
It was good fun, and since his move to Portland in late 2005, Ive gone up there to visit almost every year. I skipped last year though, so Im heading up to see him this coming May. Should be great fun, as I love he and his family, and I really dig Portland.
