For real now, I'm back. Had some bullshit going on, but I am completely determined to storm this place and post at least once every day. Call it a second-quarter resolution.
Also, I just finished my first track of 2011, which will hopefully be my last for a good while. I have to focus not on creating new music, but publishing the mountain of stuff I already have online. I just want to see what people think of it, if anything else.
So I have my drums mostly all set up at my best friend's place here in San Diego. And the drive there is all surface streets and less than ten minutes, for the most part. I plan on doing a lot more practicing in the near future.
This friend of mine - Marg is her name - she's just my favorite person on the planet. In fact, I haven't had a friend like her since I was with my ex-girlfriend back out in Phoenix. Marg and I aren't romantically involved, though, which goes to show you that a guy and gal can strictly be friends.
At least that's true for me, and as I write this I hold in my hands her audio disc slipcase book that she let me borrow. She's been away on vacation (in Arizona, coincidentally) since Sunday and I miss her. She's coming back tomorrow evening, though, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing her no later than the weekend.
It's amazing to have someone so close, where you know in life that they've got your back and you've got theirs.
I mean, I'm happy with my life right now, and I have friends outside of Marg, of course. But the wonderful things about knowing her in particular are undeniable.
To close on a more personal note, however, I've got to set out on finding myself a serious relationship. I think I'll be putting more effort into that aspect of my life in the coming months.

Anyways, the little monster I was referring to is my niece, though I spoil her rotten like she was my own. One of these days I would like to have a kid or two.
I'm glad to hear that things are going well for you. Hopefully all the bullshit is over and done with! I too believe that members of the opposite sex can strictly be friends. Most of my friends are actually women.
