[ Now playing on the Severe Trauma Sounds... Birdwatcher by Hilt from Journey To The Center Of The Bowl ]

Ok, nevermind that bit about life being a whore. It's really not. I was just a bit frustrated last night.

Life's actually a bitch, but that we all know. It's hardly news to anyone.

Anyway, sorry for sounding misogynist there. That's not what was intended.

I'm updating from work on Monday morning. I think I got some kind of light food poisoning last night. I got a vegetarian dinch (that's dinner/lunch) that I believe was a bit undercooked. It felt like a brick went into my stomach and then just sat there, and then I was weak as a bird. Fine now, though.

Yesterday just got to be a lot of work toward the evening, as I had piles and piles of finances to go through. I hate that kind of stuff, but it helps to have my megamix of 25252 strange, esoteric, eccentric & poppy tracks busting out from my newly resurrected iPod to assist with the monotony.

When I got in to work this morning, I finished watching The Rocker, and I seriously think that film is magic. I love comedies like that, especially when one of the points of the film happens to be that living in the past means that the past is where you'll stay. Or, more poetically, as the character of Danielle Bowden (very well-played by Juliette Lewis) narrates at the end of the remake of Cape Fear, if your focus is your past, "you die a little every day. And as for me, I'd rather live."

Also, The Rocker further confirmed my impression of Emma Stone as the most beautiful girl this Earth ever offered up. Just looking at her makes me weak.

So, I got that and the hilarity of Rainn Wilson and a very uplifting sentiment throughout the duration of The Rocker, though particularly during the last thirty minutes. Now that's a damn great start to the week.
