Ugh. I'm afraid the sickness hasn't passed. frown Today was supposed to be the first day at my new job, but I'm so ridiculously ill that I had to take a sick day. It's not like me to be sick, as I have the world's strongest immune system. I'm all huddled up at home right now and planning on spending the day under my comforter with a box of tissues and lots of movies. Yucky- it's not fun being sick. frown

I bought my turntables last year, but I am the mistress of procrastination and I have slacked off terribly when it comes to actually practicing. I have the basic beat-matching skills down, but my mixing is terrible. I need to practice more often...

I actually don't live in Hillcrest (wish I did) but love visiting. I live in UTC, which I hate and wish to escape from. The reason I live in UTC is that my very best friend in the whole world lives in UTC and only has a bike, so if I want to hang out with him on a regular basis, I need to live nearby. I would move to Hillcrest (or South Park/North Park) in a heartbeat if it weren't for the fact that being near my best friend is quite important to me. Where do you live, if I may ask?

Dubya makes me positively insane. I hate him, I hate his neo-conservatve cronies, and every day seems to bring more bad news.

As for Burning Man, you should go! Seriously- it's worth the expense a thousand fold.....

I would take you up on your offer to go out and eat (I love food) but I need to wait until I'm feeling better (I don't want you to catch my cold.) Hopefully I'll recover quickly.

p.s. Napoleon Dynamite is funny as hell. I hope you get the disc to work!

I agree with you completely about Underworld. They are, simply put, the best. Seeing them live absolutely enthralled me. I was close enough to the stage to feel Karl Hyde's sweat splash into the crowd. Now that's hot.

Banging tunes are why I'm alive, too. There is nothing I love more than when the bass drops and the crowd goes crazy. Pounding grooves give me the chills in the best sense.

You seem like one of the more iteresting people I've stumbled upon since moving to San Diego. I've definitely had a difficult time finding people with similar interests. I belong back in San Francisco, but something tells me I'm not done with San Diego yet.

You're an excellent writer as well. I've always liked intelligent people. smile

Have a great day!
