The Easiest Hard Decision


We're both acting like it's too far gone

Although I know your phone is turned on

And we keep pushing each other away

I swear I don't want to let this go

But leaving is the only thing I know

And I'm fighting the urge to pray

Your prescence has a medicinal use

Strangely a form of emotional abuse

And it seems that we're illfitted

I want desperately to stay in touch

Though I fear it will cost me too much

Yet again, my heart remains outwitted

You may think that I'm no good

And I stay inside, misunderstood

But this is so much easier than you know

And if you took the time to contemplate

You'd see I'm worth the work and the wait

Maybe take a chance and watch me grow......
