Personally, i hate new year's eve parties: too expensive to go out for dinner, too much people, too much drunkyards, (and not the funny ones), too much drugs. I usually have much more fun one unexpected night with only two or three good friends, talking about movies and books, trying to fix the world and going dancing.
But anyway, this post is to wish you (those who enjoy partying, those who don't) all the best for the new year to come. Have a fun, safe night.
