Bye Kirby. RIP
I grew up watching this man play baseball with an enthusiasm that is seldom seen these days in professional sports. He was a huge part of my childhood and my love for baseball. I can only hope he is remembered for these reasons and not for the events following his early retirement. I am extremely devastated and homesick. My state is in mourning. My 1987 (paper-thin) World Series t-shirt is comin out of the closet tomorrow.

Kirby Puckett was so easy to root for. I wish there were more players (and athletes in general) like him
