So, time to update. What has happened?
This weekend, I got a new Internet provider (since I am now sadly restricted to dial-up), and it came with a free "web-accelerator" software package. This might be old news to you, but I've always used DSL and assumed that dial-up couldnever be as fast. I also assume that the web-accelerator package was a load of horseshit, but it is now running about as fast as my Roadrunner did! I never would have dreamed it could be possible.
So, I signed back up for World of Warcraft. Very excited. Jumping up and down with joy. How am I spending my time? Increasing my character's fishing skill for two hours. How lame is that? I realized what I was doing and started kicking ass, but got tired. Still excited about having my game back, but I've been awake too long.
Speaking of which, good night. Oyasominasai.
P.S. I'm BaiLang (one word) on Archimonde (horde) if anyone is interested. Would love to meet anyone online and kick ass. Usually online at night 7-10 Sun, Tues, and Thurs and much later on other nights.
P.P.S. For those that care, Bai Lang, which means White Wolf in Mandarin (Chinese), was a real bandit king, commonly compared to the English Robin Hood.
I don't know why. He took from the rich and the poor and gave to mostly himself, but kept the villagers of his hometown very well fed (so they would cover for him if the authorities came around). His "Merry Men" numbered in the tens of thousands, which obviously made him a considerable threat to the Emperor, who tried to recruit him and his army as governor of the province to get him to settle down.
Guess what, I graduated with a BA in history, with a specialization in Chinese history.
