Instead, I'll be going with my friend Scott, who I met last week, after a Vampire: the Masquerade game (not Requiem) tomorrow afternoon.
I asked "s", the Mormon girl, if she wanted to go. I figured it was time to break up anyhow and I thought that gauging her reaction would be a good way to decided once and for all if we could possibly work things out. When I explained what the show was, she told me "you see, it's just that I have certain standards" to keep, or maybe it was that she didn't want to sink below them. Something like that. I have standards too, and mine aren't lower. I didn't like it being suggested otherwise. She left that day without talking to me again or saying goodbye, and no, nothing else, unpleasant or happy, was said afterwards. I'm still hoping to scrounge a friendship out of this, but our "relationship" is over.
