So, on Monday, a journalist from the Chicago Tribune was in my embroidery class. She brought a photographer who took alot of crazy pictures while I taught and said she was taking the class for a DIY piece to be run later in the Home & Garden section of the Sunday paper. I hope, hope, hope that I don't sound like an idiot (I talk like a Buffy character, adding -y to the end of alot of words that shouldn't have a y) and that I don't look too terrible (for someone who doesn't wear makeup). All in all, the class went well despite having five people show up instead of three. Everyone did a nice job with the samplers and got started on their take home project. Look for me soon in the paper!!
Then on Tuesday, I went to the Sewing 101 class to back Rachel up because she was going to be interviewed and filmed by Metromix Chicago TV!! It was a weird experience being filmed while working on sewing projects. The girls who took the class were total troopers and had to be interviewed by Jackie the correspondent which must have been awkward. I managed to stay behind the scenes so you probably won't see me or maybe the back of me when it finally airs next week sometime. They shot two hours of video for a 2 minute clip.
Anyway, watch for the Needle Shop on Metromix and the Tribune!!
