What a curious time of my life this is. The un-named girl of my affections continues to send me mixed messages, despite me being confident of her neutrality on the subject. So that's always entertaining, we're drawing ever closer to the day that she leaves for 4-6 months and that means one of the most important social outlets I have is going to be gone.

So we'll see how that works out!

It's around this time of year that I start thinking about the year ahead. This will be my first New Years as a single man since... 2003. So that'll be an interesting feeling I'm sure. I'm visiting friends for a house party which I hope to God goes ahead, otherwise I'll be sitting home alone, staring out the window of my apartment. Which would be a bit too depressing, even for me.

I don't bother with new years resolutions, they're pointless. I promised myself in 2008 that '09 would be "my" year. It wasn't. At all. So I'll make the same promise to myself this time around, but this time I'm actually in a place where I can follow through.

Just suffering a lack of female attention at the moment which doesn't help. Well, it makes you feel a tad ugly doesn't it? Bah!
