Well, I am now a member of SG. It was actually a very spontaneous decision, but I'm feeling kinda' good about it. Haven't spent money senselessly in a while, and there's something quite liberating about throwing caution to the wind every now and again.

What will come of it all? I suppose we'll just have to see.

Today's events:

I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the second time. My mother's in town for another two weeks and she wanted me to accompany her and her friend (incredibly young lover). I appreciate how my opinion of her choice of men still means a great deal to her, despite the fact that I no longer require a father figure of any sort. Even better than that is the humor I can derive from a man scarcely older than I am trying to make a good impression on his woman's son.

You know, reading that last paragraph, it's never been more clear to me how incredibly interesting my relationship with my mother is.

Anyhow.. went and saw CCF again, and thoroughly enjoyed it again. I remember being incredibly skeptical when first hearing that Tim Burton would be directing the remake of one of my favorite childhood films and stories with Johnny Depp attached to play good ol' eccentric chocolateer, Willy Wonka, despite the fact that I love those two and their collaborations immensely. Then the teaser was no help with the grating Willy Wonka song.

But I've gotta' say, the movie pulled through for me. I love it, love it, love it. There are times when it's obviously meant to be directed towards children, what with a disjointed feel and often wacky/silly/nonsensical humor. But naturally, there're those more subtle elements that make it very enjoyable to adults as well. The running gag of mumbling still made me crack up shamelessly.

All in all, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was good times, and everyone should see it with someone that they can normally let their inner child run free with. That fool of a Took side of you that still believes in happy endings and friends paying back money.

Other than that, not much happened today. Save, of course, for joining Suicide Girls, which was mentioned earlier.

Well, off I go.

thank you so much for your friend request though it is slightly sad for me to see that you've already got more friends than me and more comments though I've been on here since march. Anywho welcome

Hey, I really don't know how that happened. And believe you me, I'm not even in the running if there's a race of how many friends peoples have. First of all, you are my first and currently only friend on here. As for the comments.. I honestly don't know what's up with that. I'd like to know though.
