Summertime - Fire Theft
When we roam,
Faded rumors that outlast the century,
Crazy heroes all painted in glass,
Which way to the stars,
I'll be home
In the landscape of a new century,
Crazy millions have all long since passed
Their way to the stars,
Summertime,
Lift back the veil that hides you and me,
I can run
Bearing rumors all traced in the...

Dear sinuses,
We've been through a lot together, you and me. I'm job hunting right now, and I get the impression that you're plotting against me. Now, this is perfectly acceptable. I understand that there's an unwritten agreement between us that authorizes the occasional wreaking of havoc on my mood and health, and you usually invite some other parts of my body over to get...

This is a pretty classic tale. Unremarkable, yet always profound and full of impact to the one experiencing it. To some extent, I blame my ex, because a lot of my current mentality was borne of trying to comrpomise with her. After a while though, I think that I lost track of where I started, and ended up completely adrift.
Again, classic and unremarkable. I've...

at least you're aware that something has gone amiss. you'll find your way back in no time, easily.

someone ought to fence you in.
Ugh.. I'm totally crushing on someone unattainable. This cannot be healthy.

Natural forest fires are not actually bad, in an ecological sense- they ensure that there's a good balance of new and old growth, and most animals are able to escape, either that.. or.. fertilize the land, to put it one way. It's only their danger to private property, lumber, etc. that make them so abhored.
Regardless of all that, I still love them. I've been in the midst of two in person, it's the most amazing thing.

What a great day for a russian wedding.
Or rather, a russian reception. The ceremony itself was sort-of quirky and personal. A fifteen minute adorably awkward presentation of a friend of the groom ordained minister, the bride, and the groom himself. This took place in what could most easily be defined as a marsh, both hot and buggy. But there's nothing like an outdoor ceremony...

Which is worse? To be intentionally rude, or to have said something rude and be so daft as to only partially get it?
I offended one of the few people who honesty interests me as a worthwhile human being. Was my mistake in telling them that my first impression of them was inconclusive? Or did I not convey that properly?
And I write this all...

cheer up, emo kid. worry about yourself and not the impression you give other people. it's never as bad as you think it is.
marigold:
you and i both know it was the megaman part that redeemed the day.
[Removed for some reason or another.]
I really feel like I should and want to write about something, but I just can't muster up the desire or direction to really do it productively. There are plenty of thoughts on my mind right now, but that's nothing new. Things aren't exactly going great, and I've felt this way for quite some time, but for some reason, I no longer feel like I...

Alright, it's one of those nights, so I have a request for those of you out there that are up to it. Contact me. Leave an interesting comment, send me an IM, E-mail me, whatever. I'm just itching for some communication and, believe it or not, this is one of the more likely places for me to look for it. So!

so you haven't been to a funeral? well, i can tell you how it goes. first, there will be some priest, probably someone the dead guy didn't even know and probably wouldn't like. he will say some crap that is so stupid that you will say 'thank jesus i'm an athiest'. unless you're not, i mean, and then maybe you'll think it's sweet. i don't know.
then someone will probably drag some little children up to speak (because they think it's cute and don't realize it's emotionally scarring them). the little children will probably say something hideously inappropriate ("i miss grandma because she always bought me power rangers and i love power rangers"). the women will cry, the men will adjust their dusty ties.
then the adults will speak. it's always the same, i think- 'so-and-so spread so much love is his lifetime. let's give back by continuing to pass on his love to others'. blah blah blah.
my rough draft read something like 'shit happens'. but the family's catholic so i finally, grudgingly, dolled it up with a bit of that 'fondest memories and deepest sympathies' sort of stuff. otherwise, who knows, they might try to 'cast out my demons ' later in the day. and i'll have a train to catch.
..and anyway, don't worry too much about me, i'm always emotionally destroyed. this isn't anything new. just the icing on my shit cake.

indeed, it was splended to not meet you...
Well, well, well, well, well.
I have now met many to several members of the SGCO group. Mind you, I won't be able to remember half of their names come tomorrow, but I shall certainly remember that every single one of them was incredibly nice and welcoming.

Holy cow, that was me in the HOV lane! Haha, just joking. Anyway, thanks for the post.
I wish I would have known about the scooby meeting last night, I would have tried to come out to it.
And it wouldn't be a waste of advice at all. I'm taking all I can get right now. Yes, I pretty much know that it's going to be hard getting used to things here. It's going to take time to just comfortable again. But it never hurts getting support from people, so thanks a bunch for the post and chat invite
Your sense of humor sounds very familiar. I'm often sitting wondering who I'm going to offend or piss off with my very blunt and sarcastic comments, so I feel your pain. Is there a good place to check for group meetings? I guess if this was your first one, you are new to them also, but I would love to get out and meet some people.
