16 and a half hours spent in the studio and we are only halfway done with the demo. I guess we underestimated how long it would take to record. It took a day and a half (all of saturday and part of today) just to finish the drums, and after that we were only able to finish guitar tracks for two songs. We just need bass on those two songs, and then both guitars and bass for the third song. After that we have to mix, which will probably take another day to do since there are a lot of things going on in the last two, ESPECIALLY our last song. We're planning on going back to finish on Sept 2nd and 3rd. All in all this was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had and can't wait to go back. I had never been in an actual studio until this weekend. I really wish I could just live in there to be honest. Recording and playing shows is all I want to do. If I could make a living doing that, then I ask for nothing else in life.

We all had lots of fun and I went through 3 hours of footage on my video camera, and I have 3 more tapes lined up for the next time we're there already. It will be strange now that Charles, our drummer, won't be around anymore. He is leaving for LA this Friday to pursue his life long goal of becoming a successful actor. Pretty brave of him to do and we wish him the best of luck with everything.

Well that's about all for now. New things were learned, new sounds were discovered, new friends were made. I seriously can't wait another two weeks to get this bad boy completed. Things are finally looking up.
