Well people, looks like Bush's marriage ammendment is on it's way. The senate was "debating" it this morning on CSPAN2. And the shredding of our rights continues...

I am NOT pleased about the amendment. I am also not pleased about the fact that this great commonwealth I live in outlawed civil unions. All of them. It won't stand once it gets challenged, but the fact that it even got passed makes my blood boil. I've written letters and all, but the senators and representatives from this state seem to be catering to the "Religious Right." (Not surprising that that's surprising to me. It still REALLY bothers me.) Anyway, let me stop rambling in your journal. I'm probably not making any sense since I'm not in the right frame of mind to intelligently discuss current events and the like.
